September 1st. Travelled from Treetops at about 7am to Lake Nakuru National Park (5 hours) via the Thomson Falls, which were impressive.
Lunch at Lake Nakuru lodge, not my favourite lodge but nothing bad. On to the afternoon game drive, Nakuru is still impacted by the flooding and the flamigos are absent, a shame as they are an incredible sight. However Nakuru never disapppints and this is the place to see rhino, we've seen black and white before but only got a few white ones on this trip. Here you get Rothschilds giraffes. See here for the comparison of giraffe species. We also got excellent views of the tree climbing lions, which are wonderful.
After leaving the park it was off half hour south to the Lake Naivasha Country Club, which was excellent (more about that elsewhere).
